Lynda helped me to get the confidence I needed to launch my own business. It is so true that once you can believe in yourself anything is possible.

CALM YOUR MIND
We know how to satisfy our material desires by going out into the world and experiencing things, feeling things and doing things. However, if we live our lives only at the material level we will eventually feel disenchanted.
All the possessions, friends and abilities in the world do not compensate for a lack of spiritual connection. Don’t forget that you are mind, body and spirit, and that spiritual nourishment reaches the parts that nothing else can reach. Get in touch with your spirit and calm your mind and body with this simple technique.
An Easy Meditation
- Find a quiet and peaceful place and sit in a comfortable chair so that your back remains straight.
- Close your eyes and begin to watch your mind. Let your thoughts come and observe them. Don’t get involved with your thoughts, just notice them.
- When you are ready, turn your attention to your breathing. Notice the muscle in your abdomen, just below your rib cage, which rises and falls as you breathe. Follow its movement. Each time the muscle rises think, ‘rising’ and every time it falls, think ‘falling’.
- Rising…falling…rising…falling, let all your other thoughts drift away as you focus on this muscle. At first your mind will keep wandering off and each time it does just follow it and bring it back to focusing on ‘rising…falling…rising…’
Keep practising; it will get easier.
A calm mind is a priceless reward.
