Exercise: Your Reality Workshop
Instead of looking outside yourself and blaming others for what is lacking in your relationships you can stop and answer these two important questions.
1 What is this relationship showing me about myself?
2 How can I use this insight to improve the relationships that I attract?
Think about any relationship that you are struggling with right now and ask yourself these two questions and then:
- Dig deep and look for any repeating thought, behaviour or emotional patterns that you are experiencing.
- Ask yourself if you have experienced these patterns before with this person.
- Have you ever acted out these patterns with another person?
- What does this relationship reveal to you about yourself?
- Are there any ways that you could change your patterns so that they become more positive and useful?
If you are in a poor relationship and you keep on behaving and reacting in the same ways then the relationship will stay the same. Change yourself and the relationship will change or it will end.
